Pauletia M. Afful brings to TranscEnDence Educational Partners an extensive career in the educational field working both as a teacher, lead teacher, Assistant Principal, and educational consultant whose work can be attributed to consistently delivering record-setting gains in student achievement, school performance standards, and operational improvements for urban students. Spanning an eighteen-year career, Pauletia is at the expert level in providing instructional, operational, and administrative leadership oversight to drive measureable success in district and charter schools.
Alongside her role with TranscEnDence Educational Partners, Pauletia has served as the Vice President of Education & Training Services for the past 14 years for the Afful Consulting Corporation. In this role, she has focused on leading the development of training models, curriculum workshops, and educational programs for governmental, school, and church organizations across the country. In addition to her passion and love for education Pauletia serves as an Executive Coach and motivational speaker who uses her voice to empower others to be successful in their endeavors.
Serving as Chief Strategy Officer for TranscEnDence Educational Partners, Pauletia will lead the organizations national and international consulting strategy of engagement, partnership, and implementation. Her role of execution with TranscEnDence will focus on leading districts and schools in the development of systems and strictures that communicate a compelling vision to ensure that overarching goals focus on the expected outcomes for students, and that the actions and behaviors of the stakeholders ensure the achievement of these outcomes. She will also maximize her expertise to guide districts and schools in proper utilization of strong operating systems for managing time, making decisions, maximizing resources, solving problems, setting targeted goals and objectives to drive the change process, and in the establishment of core priorities.
As part of the TranscEnDence commitment to excellence in execution, Pauletia will be responsible for ensuring that content consultants model a deep knowledge of proven instructional and programmatic methodologies in schools driven by relentless follow-up through the use of metrics and information systems to measure progress towards goals. TranscEnDence Educational Partners will also maximize her expertise in English-Language Arts programming when needed for program development, training and oversight. Areas of specialization under the TranscEnDence Model include:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate instructional programs with teachers, including learning objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment techniques.
- Monitor instructional processes to ensure that program activities are related to program outcomes and use findings to take corrective actions.
- Apply research and district data to improve the content, sequence, and results of the teaching and learning process.
- Involve instructional staff in evaluating and selecting instructional materials to meet student learning needs.
- Plan the necessary time, resources, and materials to support accomplishment of educational goals.
- Design and provide effective staff development activities that incorporate the mission of the district, program evaluation outcomes, and input from teachers and others.
Pauletia resides in Los Angeles with her husband John and their four children.
