Raquel Evans, a native Houstonian, began her career in 2009 with the largest CMO in Missouri, Imagine Schools, as the founding Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator to recruit and retain high performing educators. During her tenure as the Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator, she began working closely with the school based operations team. While working alongside the school based operations team, Raquel saw an opportunity for improvement and growth in school based finances, facility management, and procurement.

In 2010, Raquel was given the opportunity to lead and transform the school based operations team at Imagine Schools. Within two years, she was given the opportunity to become the Director of Operations for KIPP Inspire located in St. Louis, MO. During her time at KIPP Inspire, Raquel worked closely with school and district level administration team to transform the district operations model. In 2011, Raquel led a team to hire, train and evaluate the founding operations team for a new KIPP school opening the fall of 2011. Over the next 4 years, Raquel worked with charter schools in St. Louis City to help revamp their school operation structures to better support students and families. Since 2016, Raquel has been working with Hawthorn Leadership School for Girls as the founding Director of Business and Operations where she is responsible for finance, facilities, technology, human resource and student recruitment.

Serving as School Business and Operations Consultant for TranscEnDence Educational Partners, Raquel’s work will focus on supporting school leaders across the education sector in the establishment and assessment of their value proposition, as well as work with leaders and school teams to better align their organizational systems, structures, and resources to deliver the high quality education all families and students deserve. More specifically under the strategic advising division of TranscEnDence, Raquel will lead the execution and oversight of project management support, lead school-based operations and finance development, provide governance and management supports, lead districts and schools through design thinking and organizing for innovation modeling, develop systems for workplace empowerment, and guide partners through succession planning for district and charter schools.

Raquel earned her Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Texas Southern University. When not working with school leaders to align organizational systems and structures, Raquel mentors and coaches school and district level operation teams to ensure that their operational vision and mission aligns with the school vision and mission. In her spare time, Raquel loves to work on DIY projects, travel, watch sports with her husband and watch her two boys compete in basketball, soccer and baseball.
